Quantum Group Appoints Advisory Board

New Chair, Professor Stefan Allesch-Taylor will work with the other newly appointed advisory board members to provide business development advice to the Group as it scales towards an IPO
Quantum Group, the fintech and security company, is pleased to announce the formation of an advisory board to help Quantum Group’s executive team, led by Founder and CEO Floyd Woodrow MBE DCM, prepare the business for the next stage of its development.
Professor Stefan Allesch-Taylor CBE FKC FRSA will chair the new board. The Advisory Board will provide business development advice to deliver the Group’s three-year business plan and strategic capital markets advice on liquidity events, including targeting an IPO in the second half of 2026. The Advisory Board plans to meet with corporate brokers and financial advisors in the coming months to explore options.
Professor Allesch-Taylor is an experienced financial services entrepreneur and has served as Chair or CEO of numerous public and private companies operating in more than 15 countries, representing combined assets of over $20 billion. Professor Allesch-Taylor will be joined by Stephen Etchells, Dr Zenon Gray and Antony Legge, all experienced City executives, in advising the Group.
Quantum Group comprises foreign exchange, international payments and expense management company Volopa; cashback and rewards platform Verve; security consultancy Valkyrie; and cyber security specialist Forensic Control. James Radford, formerly CEO of Revolut UK, was recently appointed as CEO of Volopa, and has joined the operational board of Quantum Group as Chief of Fintech and Banking. With more than three decades of financial services and fintech experience, James will drive Volopa’s growth in the UK and other markets.

Meet the Quantum Advisory Board
Professor Stefan Allesch-Taylor CBE FKC FRSA
Professor Stefan Allesch-Taylor is an entrepreneur, financier, and investor. He is a Fellow of, and the Professor of the Practice of Entrepreneurship at King's College London. Stefan has over 35 years of experience as a finance professional and has co-founded and served as Chair or CEO of numerous public and private companies.
In 2005, he co-founded and chaired the London-based investment bank Fairfax. In 2006 he founded pension fund-focused Tactica Asset Management, a Goldman Sachs managed fund, where he served as Chair. In 2008, he co-founded and was Chair and Member of the Supervisory Board of Global Evolution A/S, a frontier, and emerging markets asset manager. In 2009, he led the team that rescued the German deposit-taking bank, Nordfinanz, in Bremen.
Stefan is currently Chair Designate of MFG Financial Holdings Limited, a European non-bank fintech with over 3,500 staff and 1.1 million customers operating in six countries. He is also a non-executive director at Clearbrook CapitalPartners LLP, a London-based private equity firm.
Stephen Etchells
A global executive with substantial main board and leadership experience, Stephen owns and operates strategic change management company, Change Highway, assisting some of the world’s largest private and public organisations with business transformation programmes. Stephen was an investor, director, and chair of ConTgo, a mobile SaaS model for the global B2B security and travel sectors.
Previously, Stephen was VP and General Manager of American Express – UK and Ireland and was a member and Chair of the American Express UK Executive Board in addition to sitting on its EMEA Leadership Board. Stephen was an essential member of the global executive team of GetThere Inc, the B2B e-procurement travel portal, which was sold to the Sabre Corporation for $800m. Prior to 1997, Stephen was Executive Director and Chairman of a $5 billion multinational travel management company.
Dr Zenon Gray
Dr Zenon Gray is a highly experienced financial services executive and board advisor. He was a senior board advisor on major merger and divestment programmes to the leading Nordic bank, Nordea, a board level partner to NobleGroup during their disposal of their 15,000 person Agri business the Chinese conglomerate, COFCO and was Global Head of Retail Financial Services Consulting for EPAM. From 2009 to 2014, he was Group Chief Information Officer, Global Commodities, ED&F Man.
Antony Legge
Antony has worked with numerous growing companies over the last 35 years and advised boards on a comprehensive range of equity capital market issues including IPOs, secondary fundraisings, acquisitions and disposals (both public and private).
He is currently a Director of CSDG Holdings, Consultant/CFO at Change AgronomyCanada Limited and a Non-Executive Director at Unicorn Mineral Resources Plc. He was previously Chair of Nanosynth Group Plc, and a non-executive director of SerVision Plc and Precision Midstream Plc.
